Motion Parallax or kinetic depth is a depth cue that is based on movement. As objects move through the field of vision, objects that are closer to the viewer move further across the field. In order to move further, closer objects also move faster.

In the movie below, try to determine which trees are closest to the viewer and which are farthest away. Since all of the trees are identical, the only depth cue present is Motion Parallax.
