Illustration Professor Receives Residency

Light Grey Iceland Residency 2015

In the summer of 2015, Steven Hughes (Assistant Professor of Illustration) will join a team of illustrators, painters, and concept artists from different areas of the United States, Canada, and Austria during Light Grey Art Lab’s Iceland Residency Program.

We will be traveling through Southern Iceland to visit some of the most secluded, wild, and sublime locations in the world. Our day excursions will include visits to some of the creaking glacial feet, boiling mud pots, hidden waterfalls, haunted hillsides, sleeping volcanos, basalt caves, and more. Equipped with our sketchbooks, cameras, and hiking gear, we set out on an adventure of a lifetime to explore, document, collaborate—we hope to create an atmosphere of learning, open exchange, and dialogue.” – Lindsay Nohl, Light Grey Art Lab Founder/Creative Director
