Pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Studies
Anastasia Greer is a multidisciplinary artist currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art, Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies in Portland, Oregon.
Anastasia’s work explores the expectations and manipulation of fabric within a painting perspective and resides between craft, painting, and sculpture. Greatly influenced by her mother’s quilting, she creates work that has a conversation with craft and it’s feminine connotations.
Anastasia has exhibited in Portland, Grand Rapids, and Marquette, and won second place at a national textile art show. She was recently awarded a residency at Leland Iron Works in Oregon City, OR. Along with her art practice, Anastasia is actively involved in the Portland music scene, playing shows with her band in her free time.
Anastasia graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Printmaking.
