Ben is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Rally Interactive, a small design and technology firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rally specializes in design and development of interactive products for mobile devices, web, non-traditional interfaces, and connected systems. They have won numerous industry awards including the prestigious Apple Design Award in 2012. A few of Rally’s direct clients include: Nokia, Google, National Geographic, ESPN, PayPal, HERE, BWIN, PayPal, and Snowbird Ski Resort.
In 2007, Ben graduated from NMU with a BFA in Computer Art. While at Northern, he skied for the nordic ski team. Following graduation, his passion for the outdoors led him to the mountains where he worked for several different design studios before founding Rally.
Ben still enjoys downhill and nordic skiing in the winter and many cycling activities in the summer. He lives with his wife, also a NMU graduate, and their two black cats. He has recently developed an obsession for modern architecture and interior design, despite not being handy.
I graduated from NMU in 2009 with a BFA in Computer Art. Following NMU, I moved to Savannah Georgia, where I went on to get my MFA in Animation.
In 2012, I started work at Blue Sky Studios, as a production assistant, in the Rigging and Animation Departments. My time at Blue Sky was spent working on the following feature films: “EPIC”, “Rio 2”, “Peanuts”, “Ice Age 5”, and “Ferdinand The Bull”. While working as an assistant at Blue Sky, I knew I wanted to eventually work into a creative role as a modeler. So, I spent all of my extra time building a character modeling portfolio.
In late 2014, I was offered a Character Modeling position at Nickelodeon Animation Studios, where I am currently working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… and loving every minute of it.
I live in sunny Glendale, California. I spend a majority of my free time with friends and family, learning new modeling and sculpting techniques, and playing/streaming video games.
